OK, This is what we’ve got so far (with apologies to Jaz and McF for shortening their previous posts): Jaz: Mad Max films www.imdb.com/title/tt0079501/Easy Rider www.imdb.com/title/tt0064276/Electra glide In blue, www.imdb.com/title/tt0070022/Books: Ted Simons Jupiter's Travels…. and his latest one (still reading it) Read The Long way Round, (Ok ) gonna get 'the long way down’. McFFilms - "The long way round" www.longwayround.com/html/longwayround.htmlJakeBattletruck (or Warlords of the 21st Century). Not many people have seen this one… but its vision of post apocalyptic mayhem centred around ‘the oil wars’ is as good as Mad Max ….. movies.aol.com/movie/battletruck/1038378/synopsiswww.imdb.com/title/tt0084887/The Worlds Fastest Indian. Never heard of of New Zealander Burt Munro until I’d seen this movie. Old geezer setting land speed record at Bonneville salt flats…. Anthony Hopkins …great!!! www.worldsfastestindian.com/Wild Hogs. Surprisingly funny…. American ‘born agains’ John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, William Macy, see (small town) America on Harleys…. video.movies.go.com/wildhogs/Electra Glide in Blue: as Jaz says, a real classic starring Robert Blake…. Easy Rider: Yeah man…Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper! The Motorcycle Diaries: Che Guevara travelling around South America on a Norton 500. Fantastic, brilliant!!! www.motorcyclediariesmovie.com/Books: Only read 2 on bikes ‘Jupiter Travels’ – Ted Simon ‘Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance’ – Robert Pirsig.

How could I have forgotten "The World's Fastest Indian"? Shame on me, it's a classic and definetly gets my vote.

Hi All, For those who like a good read try the book about Burt Munroe called " One Good Run " it covers his biking life in detail and a very interesting man he was. They still show an old George Formby film on TT week in Douglas called " No Limits " and it still gets a full house I'm told. Sheekbiker.

How about the ‘Hairy Bikers Cookbook’: Dave Myers and Simon King, two northern lads travelling the far-flung corners of the globe in search of authentic culinary experiences….. www.hairybikers.com/index_biking.htmlThey don’t always take their bikes with them but seem to hire any local bike available. I must admit I’m not a big fan of the TV series I preffered ‘Two Fat Ladies’. I had a crush on Jennifer Paterson, with her shiny Triumph combo…. www.imdb.com/title/tt0169499/

I nominate - Silver Dream Racer, went with about 30 other bikers when it came out, and you could tell as all the non bikers were sat upright in their seats during the race sections. uk.youtube.com/user/battleaxe1973see a clip from the link on youtube terrible sound dubbing but you get the gist of it.

Laughing at Jake, that must have been a shock! ;D
I'd buy Ewan a beer and enjoy some stories, but I'd draw the line there.

If you like Long Way Round you would enjoy a book titled "The Last Hurrah" about two old guys on old Brit machines doing much the same thing. There was a film called On Any Sunday that was pretty good too. Sheekbiker.

warning!!!!!!! don't buy The Fastest Man Around the World, its crap, good idea, good bike (R1) the the guy who made the film is very irritating and arrogant.
Worlds Fastest Indian is great, even the wife likes it!
Just finished Jupiters travels, excellent read.
What about the Road Racers, about Joey Dunlop, Mervyn Robinson and Big Frank Kennedy racing in the mid 70's, years before my time but i think I've missed something?
