Hello, I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and have just acquired a Revere (1992, UK-spec NTV600-M). I got the bike a couple of weeks ago, it's showing 34,995 on the clock (I assume this is miles as it's a UK bike) and looks its age in places Have ridden a few miles on it (the exhaust and tyres are knackered), and I love the laid-back style (last bike was a Yam RD350LCII). I've so far replaced the plugs (one was badly rusted), the engine oil, the trans oil, cleaned the carbs, and rebuilt the sticky front brake caliper. In the pipeline are new Motad stainless can, new tyres, air filter and a rebuild for the back brake, as its MOT is up in 2 weeks... Any feedback on the bike much appreciated, especially if any of you can tell me whether or not it looks original (except the Powerbronze 'Endurance' fairing, that is ). Cheers, Niall

Hi Niall welcome to the forum... ;D Your bike looks great in the photo although I know looks can be deceiving judging from your other posts... Apart from the colour the powerbronze fairing looks identical to the one in the Bike of the Month pic.....

Deceiving indeed - my last bike was basically unfaired and I am beginning to realise that fresh, shiny plastics can hide a multitude of sins... Just took the tank off yesterday to change the filter and found the underside of it was badly pitted. Cue another three hours with wire brush, rust-killer, steel wool and elbow-grease. It never ceases to amaze me that people let things get that bad in the first place <mutter, grumble>
