Hi. Top box really depends upon rack that is fitted to bike. What type is yours? OR What type are you looking to buy? Givi are good (Had two) still got one spare (holds 1 helmet and not much else.. ) jaz

The choice's are many but mostly used as our bike's are considdered too old to make new kits for. Rentec still do a rack and Kappa do a universal plate both in monolock + monokey. The monokey will suit the larger boxs but if its something not too large get the K35n it comes with a uni plate You can make almost all the aftermarket kit's fit with a bit of engineering. I recently bought a Givi E370 39-litre box new but shop-soiled for £37. It came with a universal mounting plate and is fitted to a Renntec rack on my NTV. Good quality piece of kit, well pleased with it. Here's a link: www.twistedthrottle.com/imagecatalogue/image/list/693/Don't know why they always picture them fitted to scooters - it's a full 'bike-size' box, big enough to be useful and well proportioned to the NTV's dimensions. It takes 1 helmet plus a couple of coats / whatever, or in my case a laptop + coat and extras. I also bought the optional brake light kit (£20) as I do lots of motorway miles and I don't fancy being shunted at 70mph! It's not dazzling but it helps to get people's attention when braking. You can also get coloured lid panels and a backrest if you so desire. Worth mentioning that you shouldn't overload it, mainly because of the rack's carrying capacity. By the time my laptop's in there I try not to add too much more weight. I want to find it all still attached to the bike when I get home!

I've had a E450 "Simply" Givi box on my auNTy V since I got her (along with the Givi Monorack - still available from M&P - and a MonolockMM alu plate). Great set up and looked good on the bike, but have just been persuaded to part with it for a wadge of greenbacks. Will let you know what I replace it with.

Hi Seems we might be going to fast for you. "where am i looking for the rack on the bike?" (I was new to this once and needed it explaining... ) For a top box to be fitted you need a rack. Givi / Renntec / kappa, etc; If you have one, you'll probably already know it, so I guess you don't. They look like an extra piece of metal plate, like a grate, stuck onto bike at rear. Probably the best place to look, is on E-bay for 'Motorcycle Accessories' then 'luggage and covers' motors.listings.ebay.co.uk/Accessories_Luggage-Covers_W0QQsacatZ30240QQsocmdZListingItemListIf you look through items, find one you like then 'google', that rack Name, for the company site, and you should be able to find out if it will fit the NTV. Failing that post on here link to rack, and I am sure someone will be able to say for definite whether it fits or not.... ;D Most topbox fit a certain type of rack. Givi, kappa, etc and can't be mixed with other brands, as holes and hooks are in different places. But because 'One' brand top boxes and rack, are made to 'fit' they are very popular (Easy and convenient to remove when you want, simply unlock and remove) But 'Universal' fittings will probably make 'Any' box fit onto 'any' rack. Although they will be harder to remove (ie, Require spanners to take box off) But perfectly acceptable if you just want a box on your bike, and don't need to take it off regularly. I put up this guide. It might help you decide what to buy. reviews.ebay.co.uk/Givi-top-box-question-Will-a-monolock-box-fit-my-rack_W0QQugidZ10000000002764618Have a look around, decide what you want it for and how you will use it, as prices vary (the bigger the box, the more they cost..See Givi Maxia.. ) All the best jaz

I got a Renntec rack from: www.wemoto.comand my Givi box came with a universal fitting plate. That stays fitted to the rack, and the box can be removed with a key whenever you want.

Wemoto were very quick processing and delivering the Renntec rack, so no problems there.
Good luck with the top box search. I was watching quite a few on Ebay before I got the E370. It's not often thst a top box improves the look of a bike but I think this one does. The current Givi range is quite attractive, and well made.
Glad I went for that size as smaller ones are a bit too small and larger ones like the 52 litre that takes 2 helmets would, IMHO, look too big on an NTV. They'd also tempt you to stuff it with more weight than the rack could safely cope with. The Renntec rack is neat but not one for loading too heavily from what I've heard.
Good luck with the search.

Nice one. Probably similar to mine - although mine's the "E370" it's apparently 39 litres so doesn't seem to follow the model numbers Givi use elsewhere. When you fit it, make sure it's locking in to the fitting plate securely (pull up sharply and make sure it doesn't come away from the plate) before you ride the bike, as mine took a bit of fiddling to get right.

got it this morning and just fitted it. had to do a bit of fiddling to get it to sit right on the renntec rack but works fine. Box is well good and so easy to open, close and remove the whole thing!
very happy with the purchase overall n would reccommend givi as the make to go for if they want a top box! have seen quite a few different makes on other bikes n none r as good looking or quality!
its massive aswel! like twice the size of my scooter box! should have no problem fitting everything in it!
bonjour...
