This is the next job to do so that I can get my main bike back on the road.
However for some reason my Haynes manual has gone completely AWOL (bit like my memory). I have the Honda manual but it refers to special puller tools which of course I don't have. I was hoping to compare the Haynes advice before digging in any further.
I did this job on my VFR a few years ago and didn't need special tools then - are they really needed on the NTV bearings?
Can anybody look up the Haynes write-up and let me know? Or better still scan and send me the relevant page(s)?
Cheers.

Hi Derek, Memory loss? I know the feeling, couldn’t find my own Haynes Manual at first (panic)….but see below. Haynes Manual 6.9…..‘The races are an interference fit and can be tapped from position with a suitable drift….Alternatively, the races can be removed using a slide-hammer type bearing extractor; these can be hired from tool shops….’‘The new outer races can be pressed into the head using a drawbolt arrangement (see illustration), or by using a large diameter tubular drift which bears only on the outer edge of the race. Alternatively, have the races installed by a Honda dealer using bearing race installing tools…’See also, link below. www.hawkworks.net/manual/12.html#12-21-bearing-replacementI won’t have access to a photocopier until Mon., but if you’re not sorted by then, PM me……
