Hi, I have a question - I inspected my carbs a little bit and I found, that the springs (which are keeping the piston down) are not the same length - in the front cylinder carb, the spring is shorter. It makes some logic to me, but anyway I wanted to ask if its correct - does anybody know? My NTV is 1997 year...

Hi According to the parts catalogue the springs are the same part number in both pistons.Although they are a different part numbers for certain years. But the same for front and rear piston.Someone may possibly have stretched one of the springs by accident when taking it apart. If you have no problem with the carbs I would leave it.

Actually I have had some problems - quite low performance - max speed 140km/h which is about 90 mph I tried to go through the bike a little bit - compression seems to be OK (1100 kPa in both cylinders), air filter is almost new (at least looks like), so I opened the carbs (from top only) and found this difference. But funny is, that when I closed it (without changing any parts)- I am up to 180 km/h but with some troubles - I dont know how to say in english, simply the engine is not running evenly - there are steps in acceleration (sorry for my english) Anyway, thanks for your info - one more question - is the part catalogue availabkle somewhere on the web, or only in a hardcopy?
