I'm about to replace the rotten exhaust on my Revere, and in inspecting the collector box etc have noticed that the bracket which the centre stand attaches to the bottom of, and which carries the lower engine mount (top picture) for the rear cylinder (yikes) is rusted. Closer inspection shows that this piece is apparently connected to the frame with some sort of fastener or other, which is, I presume, hidden behind this cap, which appears to be welded into place: This is obviously an important bit of the frame. My plan for the short term is to remove the silencer, clean up the frame member and centre stand as much as possible and treat them with rust killer and then paint. I have a vague plan to strip the frame in a year or so and get it re-coated. Does anyone have an opinion on this course of action? Should I be (more) worried? Cheers, Niall
