Hi
Has anyone tried to get a riser plate made to go between Revere bars and the top yoke.
I want to get the bars up about an inch but do not want to replace the original bars with conventional tubular bars and replacement riser bar clamps.
Any help would be appreciated.
Andy

Hi Andy, I've not heard of anyone doing this using the standard bars!
I've seen a couple of Revere's fitted with the later NTV top yoke & risers.
If you manage it, let us know how. I'm sure it will be of interest to other members.
Paul.

I haven't done these mods but have researched some. I found these clues (see pics) but no more details so far. one of the conversion problems is the fork top fuse box, which is rehoused at the rear on the later normal handlebar models. also the footrests are set too high for a lot of people and importantly, getting the brake pedal low enough to go under the foot is difficult, I had to shorten the adjuster nut. regards - Attachments:

i bought the top tripple clamp, and marked out where i was having to saw the thing, and a lot of fileing afterwards; i also had to reroute the clutch/choke cable, i am waiting for the shop to open as i needed 6 bolts about 60mm long to go through the bars/spacers and in to the lower clamp, i also made a joining plate that bolts on the top tripple clamps, this is it so far.i hope it helps any one else that need there bars 1" higher, IMG]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee162/outlaw800/ebayandphotos208.jpg[/IMG] IMG]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee162/outlaw800/ebayandphotos209.jpg[/IMG] IMG]http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee162/outlaw800/ebayandphotos210.jpg[/IMG]

Cheers, Outlaw.....job looks a good ‘un. ;D Great post. Do you need to move the headlight and clocks to make this conversion? A lot of hard work involved. It’ll be nice to see some pics when it’s all back in place again. But it looks a lot neater than Sheekbikers's solution.... growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=body&action=display&thread=760Maybe you could make up some more triple-clamps and sell them commercially..... I like the wrist watch strapped around the master cylinder by the way....

the head light stayed in the same place and the clocks moved up ,i have a small fly screen fitted so it look,s ok ,if you do not have a screen i would have turned the headlight brackets up side down , will take some more photos as i have finished it and it makes riding the bike feel a lot better, john

hi, i have not moved the forks in the top york there was a line all the way round the forks and i have left it as it was , what i have done is to put the second top york on top of the old one. with a pice of metal on the bolts at the front, then i used 60 mill bolts ( where the scrwdrivers are fitted) to go through the handle bars and the spacer (the top clamp i cut up )in to the standard top clamp so in all it is fixed in place with 6 bolts with lock thread on all bolts,so far in two days i have done over 80 miles with no problem,or any bolts comming loose, will post the finished one,s tomorrow, ( friday ) john ( outlaw )

Well I have managed to source a pair of Revere bars and plan to have the lower 20mm cut from them and use that as a spacer riser and when it is complete i will post pictures on the forum to show the result.
