Howdy all
I am wanting to flush and replace the coolant in my ntv600. The trusty haynes manual is telling me to remove drain bolt - which i am having difficulty locating, and once flushed to replace drain bolt washer - this is a must apparently. David silver spares are having difficulty in also locating the drain bolt and equally cant find the drain bolt washer.
Firstly can anyone point me in the direction of the coolant drain bolt?
Secondly does anyone know where i can get a new coolant drain bolt washer
Many thanks

There are two bolts below the water pump on the left-hand side of the bike ( illustration 26.2) not far from the oil filter and gear-shift pedal. In the Haynes manual the bolts are labelled A and B. Undo the correct one for your model. Make sure you have a container handy to catch the coolant, which is likely to spurt out .... wbieniec.kis.p.lodz.pl/moto/ntv/manual/1.pdfYou could probably get a new washer from Wemoto. I’ve never bothered changing mine….. www.wemoto.com/bikes/Honda/NTV_650_S_T_Revere/95-96/www.wemoto.com/parts/washers_metric/

Hi
Thanks for you response
Forgive me, when you say you have never bothered changing yours is that the coolant or the washer? Did you find the washer was suitable to use again?
Do you have an ntv600 or ntv650?

Hi Thanks for you response Forgive me, when you say you have never bothered changing yours is that the coolant or the washer? Did you find the washer was suitable to use again? Do you have an ntv600 or ntv650? I didn't bother changing the washer.... You can get a suitable washer from any good hardware store if you want to change it. I own an NTV 650.... In this country (as opposed to the continent) the Revereis the 600 and the NTV is the 650. The link below gives a clearer indication of where the water pump is located..... homepage.eircom.net/~hondabros/COOLING.htmlThe hose from the radiator runs into the water pump on the left hand side of the bike.
