I fitted new pattern fork seals to my son's NTV. After only 500 miles they are both leaking badly. The legs have very good chrome and the oil was replaced according to the haynes manual. Has anybody had this problem before? will genuine Honda seals be any better?

Used to get this all the time with the old CX's - pattern seals would go kerblooey after less than 1000 miles, whereas genuine Honda seals are actually worth spending the extra on.
Give that nice Mr Silver a ring/fax/email, you know it makes sense.

I had the same problem with my CX and learned the same lesson.... www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/NTV650S-REVERE-1995/part_92353/www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/NTV650S-REVERE-1995/Original seals are around £11 a pair from David Silver.....I think that's excluding vat.
