The section says "problems" but this isn't a problem ;D
I changed the shaft drive oil this weekend and I must say it has made a noticeable difference. The shaft doesn't judder at all anymore at lower revs and the acceleration and overall ride feels much smoother than it was.
The oil I removed didn't look too bad but it seems that this can make more of a difference than I expected. Of course I have no idea when it was last changed as I don't have a service history so it could be in there since 1993.

Hi Prof
Just taking up on your "not a problem" shaft drive oil change.
I was wondering what you used ? I know it's a hypoid gear oil SAE 80 but there are so many available. You have obviously used one that really suits the Honda drive line.

Hi Dave,
I used one I found in Halfords. I will check tomorrow for the exact specs.

Thanks Prof and Jake.
Interesting to hear the comment about Valvoline Oil, I used to use it whenever possible in the transport game. It even made a 12 litre diesel sound sweet. LOL
Thanks very much
