Hi
I noticed this evening that if the bike revs to 5K or above, there is a strange noise like brake pads rubbing on a warped disc. It's not this however as it happens even in neutral with bike stationary. Bike runs fine otherwise, and even runs fine when making the noise.
I think this is a new noise as I have not heard it before, and it is quite noticeable.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Prof

Think this might be a loose exhaust bolt. Will confirm tomorrow.

Yes that seems to have been it. Can rev to my heart's content now and no noise.

I thought of using loctite...but then I used the wrong kind on the (new) bar-end weights that I bought.... Now I can't get them off..... In the end I used a nylock nut on the exhaust bolt, and it's not worked loose since.... www.wemoto.com/parts/bolts_nuts_nyloc_metric

I think I have some in my shed. By the way you can also get them in B&Q or any home hardware shop, or better still if you have an outlet doing "proper" bolts you can get some nice shiny stainless steel ones. Prof
