All stations, please help.
I have a 600cc Honda Revere it ticks over fine, but when I try to rev the bike up with throttle it just sticks and I have to encourage it to rev up. Has been standing I have changed oil and air filters fresh fuel but it's not playing the game.
Maybe I will have to get REME to have a look!

Hi digger - Have you tried releasing the little slotted head drainscrews from each carburettor float chamber with a correct width screwdriver. They don't need to come right out to bleed. On the carb for the front cyl. it is on the R.H. side angled forward while for the rear cyl.carb it is just behind and below the slow running stop finger adjuster, angled to the rear. There is a build up of some water over time which can easily be bled off. If you put a pad of rag underneath it you can see if any water comes out - although, if its been laid up for some time, they could be badly clogged up and need a strip down, unless there's a carb cleaning additive available about which I don't know. Perhaps others do? - Best of luck, R

Hi Mark
Like me your a new member and I have to say I have found the guys very helpful.
Also like me your bike has been stood up for sometime. Not sure what you mean by "it just sticks and have to encourage it to rev up". Do you mean the throttle cable /linkage or carbs are sticking mechanically or the engine will not pick up from tick over RPM ?
Mine started every time but would not increase from tick over RPM and just cut out when I tried to increase RPM. The answer was I had one needle jet blocked, once cleaned its been fine.
Dave.

also if you have your carbs off to clean out the jets there are filters above the petrol cut off floats they may want cleaning out fit a new filter from the petrol tap to pump line when its running put your hand on the pump and feel if it has a pulse that way you know its working in the bottom of the air filter box is a small sponge filter that may be dried up and turned to dust it also may help it run better if its replaced mark
