Do you open the throttle fast or slow when trying it? Have you put the air box rubbers on the carbs and tighten the clips, outlaw

We have tried opening it slowly and fast, but it is popping and spluttering. The air box has been off and on and hubby says it runs better with them off.

Can anyone help. thanks Sylvia. If you hadn’t already cleaned them, I’d say this was a problem with the carbs like a blocked jet or something effecting the carbs, such as faulty choke valve or dirty air filter or intake air leak etc. I'm assuming you replaced the air filter when you changed the plugs.....? And what about the inline fuel filter? growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=owners&action=display&thread=1599Could be faulty ignition but check the manual below for other causes: www.hawkworks.net/manual/4.html#4-2-troubleshooting

Hi all, Problem with missfire sorted, it turned out to be a HT lead arching out on the front cylinder, so renewed both HT leads (fiddly job getting to bottom bolt) and had it out for a test run:-D I've got my bike back. Thanks to all for the support and help offered. ;-)

Hi, I am having a very similar problem on my Revere 650. Can you please explain what the HT Lead is, as I am quite new to motorcycle mechanics, and not a native English speaker.

Can you please explain what the HT Lead is, as I am quite new to motorcycle mechanics, and not a native English speaker. These are the leads or cables that connect to the spark plug caps….(HT means 'high tension'). www.wemoto.com/parts/plug_cap/Don't forget that there are four spark plugs on this bike, two per cyclinder....
