just joined the forum, had my ntv650 since 2004, bought it with bridgestone bt45's on it and kept with them until now. my mot is due and the rear is shot. had a look around the net and the bt45 has good reviews but doesn't last as long at it's competitors. i been considering the avon roadriders and Michelin pilot activ. i use my bike all year round back and fore to work 33 miles a day. the bt45's have been great but only getting about 4000 miles on the rear. would be interested to know of any alternatives.

My experience with the NTV started on the Bridgestone BT45s, but I didn't like the front tyre feel and wear! So changed to Avon Roadriders which seemed like an improvement, from memory the Avon Roadriders were very good in the wet. My Yamaha Diversion, had worn Michellins Macadams on when I got it and always felt "twitchy" then I fitted BT45s and like the NTV didn't like the front tyre feel especially how it tracked along road joints or whitelines, these were replaced with Continental Conti Gos, which so far overall I like. When the tyres next need replacing on the NTV it'll be either the Contis OR Avons and the decider would be price!
