Hi, I am in need of some advice please. I purchased an NTV650 frame and engine on e-bay, I already have a 600 revere. I have swapped frames (600 frame with 650 engine to be a trike, and 650 frame with 600 engine) so do I need to swap registration plates too. any advice welcome. thanks Sylvia

Hi Sylvia. Registration Numbers should stay with the frame. There is a way to transfer a 'Cherished' plate you have to pay an administration fee. You should inform DVLA that the engines have changed. Your problem will be insurance, both bikes will both show up to them as modified. One with a larger engine, and one with a smaller engine. The extra 50cc also affects your road tax rate. If you do not inform the DVLA, and the insurance company, It will invalidate your insurance. They will not tell you this until you have had an accident and try to claim. 'No insurance' also invalidates your 'Road tax'. Check out the DVLA on the dot gov site link below: www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/ChangesToYourRegistrationCertificate/DG_4022054Its quite simple realy. Best of luck Chris

Just waiting to hear back from DVLA now.
Suppose it is simple when you think about it, unfortunately I rushed into it to get my bike back on the road and didn't think about the consequenses. :-(
Thanks for the reply,
Sylvia
