hi all,
My revere used to run smoothly rite up to 100 mph no probs but since i changed the carbs it's dragged in acceleration and has to really work to reach 70mph.
a mechanic friend checked and cleared the carb jets (with compressed air) etc andsaid carb looked fine. iv put 2 bottles of carb cleaner thru, checked valve clearances and checked andeven changed HT leads but nothing has solved the prob.
i was thinking of removing the carb and soaking it overnite in petrol asadvised by my friend but other than that im out of ideas!
any suggestionswd be a great help
cheers, James

Hi James, Slightly confused....thought you owned an NTV 650 (rather than Revere 600)? growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=engine&thread=1571&page=1#8725And if the bike was running up to 100mph before you changed the carbs why did you change them? What did you do with the old carbs....?
