Hi Guys, Having just bought an NTV 650, I am having difficulty in keeping my feet on the foot rests, more so from a standing start. One reason for this is I am just getting over an op on my right knee, other than raising the seat, what can I do, I am only 5ft 7ins and yes my feet do touch the floor!

Firstly, give yourself time to get over the knee op, don't be tempted to rush things.... But this is an old problem and the answer is to lower the footpegs by using a lowering kit. The drawback to this method is that the footpegs with the kit don’t have springs. And once you’ve lowered the gear lever to match, it’s difficult to lower the brake pedal.... growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1309growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1565The alternative method is to use the bits of the Deauville 650 by buying the parts off eBay.... growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=body&thread=1596&page=1For the time being, I'd just raise the seat, if you can. Find a local upholsterer who can do the job, or buy something like an Air Hawk seat cushion..... As well as lowering the pegs on my bike, I've also raised the bars 50mm by using a bar raising kit.... www.bykebitz.co.uk/acatalog/Sw_Motech_Handlebar_Risers.htmlwww.motorcycle-road-and-race.co.uk/catalog/motorcycle-handlebar-risers-honda.php
