Just a quick question. Anybody got any idea if a NTV will fit in a Mondeo estate. I need to recover my Son's bike from Cork. The plan is to remove tank, bodywork, silencer, wheels, front mudguard, bars. Drain the coolant. $50,000 question is forks, off or on?

don't know if it helps, but i got a revere, whole, in the back of the wifes espace (minus the seats).
i think that you would need to remove the forks, but if you are stripping all of the other stuff, it wouldn't be much more effort anyway. the main thing to think about i guess, is the weight of the d**n thing.......
i will try to measure up the dimensions of my project bike with the front end removed, and see if that helps any.

Thanks chaps, yes it does go in. bits to remove are, wheels, front mudguard, silencer, tank, all plastic panels, rear indicators, numberplate, gearlever, radiator, front brake, bar ends. Method, tilt the bike back on the centre stand until resting on the rear disc, reverse the car until the front forks are over a sheet of 1/2" ply in the RH rear corner of the boot. topple the bike onto it's LH side and heave it all in. (Book yourself into the nearest chiropracters)
