So some of you may remember I thought I had fork problems growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=partswanted&action=display&thread=1825Had them rebuilt then tried dropping in different ones and still after the MOT it carried on making the popping noise. It got worse on Friday then as I was getting home I started to get a regular ticking noise from the front end On investigation there was aloose screw on the brake disc!! it was knocking against the caliper. Turns out a few were loose and this was allowing a small amount of movement. All tightened and the problem is gone now. Bit miffed that I didn't check this - was too focused on the forks and bearings I guess. Even more miffed that a mechanic missed it. Well I have lots of spare fork bits now
