Hi All, Decided this year in my late 50's to see if I might like motorcycling. After many years enjoying driving and some four wheeled club motor sport, I considered I may have mellowed enough to ride sedately on the roads without killing myself! Did my CBT - then sime road ridung fir a couple of months on 80cc Yamaha Townmate, followed by 125cc Honda Varadero and the did my DAS on Er6 and passed my test a couple of weeks ago. Bought myself a 1992 Honda Revere 600-M (see m.youtube.com/watch?v=u71Vc-z7Zws) and now just have a grin every time I ride it. It's perfect for me, with not too much power but a nice flat torque curve to bumble around the Cornish countryside. Even got my wife to come out on the back of it yesterday! Ok the gear selection is a bit agricultural, but does not appear to want to jump out of any gear. One thing I have noticed is a slight buzzing sound from the front brake at relatively low speeds - sounds like it may be just noise from the disc cross drillings? Peter

Welcome Redmistracing..... Have to agree, gear change is a bit agricultural but fully synthetic oil can help. These bikes are generally pretty reliable and fairly cheap to run and of course, shaft drive means no messing about with chain and sprockets. Enjoy....
