Hi Guys, can you help.?? Ive just given my bike a complete service as its been stood outside for a year or so. It started first turn , took it for a run, no problems . Switched it off, went to start it again and now all i get is the starter relay clicking Ive removed the starter motor....tested it, its working fine. Ive checked connections and fuses, Ive checked the start/kill switch and thats working fine. Any ideas as im stumped.

Thanks Jake. So even though the relay is clicking could this still be faulty. I hav'nt checked the battery as it's brand new

If the relay and relay fuse is OK then according to the trouble shooting diagram below the next step is to apply ‘battery voltage to the starter motor directly’. But if the starter motor turns out to be OK it could still be a faulty relay. You might also check the neutral switch and ignition components (e.g. coils). www.hawkworks.net/manual/17.html#17-1-troubleshootingIf it's an electrical fault they can be difficult to trace. If it was me (not being an expert) I’d take it to a dealer.... But I'd also check the battery just to make sure it's charging OK and that regulator/rectifier is not faulty.

sounds to me it's the relay i had to change mine last year but you could try cleaning the connections the one to the battery and the one to the starter and they need to be nice and tight hope you get it sorted
