Hi Guys hope you can share some advice.
Whilst i was carb-syncing the carbs on idle the engine got hot (3/4 on temp gauge) and the fan kicked in in for approx 1min. I notice coolant was pouring out from the over flow pipe under the engine. Since I bought the bike a month ago i never let it idle to check if the fan worked . I did to up the reservoir with distilled water as it was a bit low.
Does anyone have any idea why it started to pour out coolant from the overflow tube,
Many Thanks
Tosh

Just a theory but: Maybe the coolant reservoir (or expansion bottle) was already overfilled with old out of date coolant, when you were balancing the carbs..... Did you top up the coolant reservoir with a 50/50 ‘ethylene glycol-water mixture’, rather than just water? The glycol-water mixture has a lower boiling point than just water alone, and won’t tend to expand (i.e. overflow) as much..... www.hawkworks.net/manual/5.html Another possiblity is that the mechanical seal on the Water Pump is failing: www.hawkworks.net/manual/5.html#5-7-water-pumpAlso check that the cylinder head gasket is intact.
