Hi Guys, i don't know if anyone else experiences the same problem as me when it comes to starting their bike. But its becoming embarrassing as people leave there offices thinking someone (me) is firing a shotgun !!! I don't know weather im using too much choke or my choke is not working properly as my bike cuts out if i leave it on for a few seconds or its just the "damp" weather we are having.....it misfires, backfires and just turns over. I had to Bump start it the other morning. Any ideas or solutions are more than welcome. Thanks.

It could be a number of things. I’d suspect a fuelling problem to begin with: Improper choke operation Ignition malfunction Faulty carburetor Fuel contaminated Intake air leak Incorrect idle speed Incorrect valve clearance Incorrect carburetor syncronization Improper choke valve operation See Manual for more details...... www.hawkworks.net/manual/4.html#4-2-troubleshootingYou could also check the inline fuel filter between tank and carbs, because sometimes it gets blocked and needs replacing.....

Thanks again Jake, i'm gonna try a new choke cable for starters as there seems to be a bit of play in one of the cables when the choke is fully on. Also the revs don't increase much when the cable is fully on !!! I've also noticed that one of the Diaphragm/piston assembly sticks and doesn't slide smoothly like the other. Thanks again.
