Second time around! had a 1993 ntv650 2years ago had it for 6months and sold it, it was abit tatty and the gearbox was abit too clunky but still worked well, had 4 other bikes as well just could not find a good reason to keep it. But I REGRETTED it, I Kept thinking after selling it, it is the right bike for me for two up riding and a long distance tour.
I was always looking for another ntv650 afterwards but more and more I looked the more I thought I had made a mistake selling the ntv, as to replace it was going to be hard to find a good one, as they are rare and mostly near London and high miles. prices are going up as well they are falling into the retro bike market, I can see that a good ntv revere will fetch more money than a early deaville, as the ntvs are better built. So when I found another 1993 ntv650 with just 1700 on the clock and it had been looked after by a old boy and kept indoors, I jumped on it and bought it, and I am so pleased with it! I WILL NOT BE SELLING THIS ONE! If you see a good ntv for sale with low miles, buy it! as good ones are fast disspearing.

Hi Revereit....welcome to the site. Yeah, I know what you mean. I keep looking around for a new bike to buy; something a bit faster than the NTV I normally ride. I see it as the ‘one more bike syndrome’ before I get too old to ride at all. Trouble is that in trying to replace the NTV, it’s difficult to find anything that’s as reliable with shaft drive and a decent size tank etc. I certainly wouldn't buy a Deauvile it’s way too heavy and bulky for its engine size and as you say, the NTV is a better buy if you can find a nice one....
