Here comes the sceptic. If it will stay on all through winter, how come you can wash it off? The adverts are very similar to the claims made by Waxoyl, which is decent stuff itself but won't perform the miracles it promises. Anyone tried it? I'd be very interested in the results (especially if they tried to stop a 'primerless' Suzuki from rusting).

whats wrong with engine oil and road dirt? nice n cheap, paint the oil on then scoop up a few handfulls of road dirt, apply dirt and cook at gas mark ten, remove from oven every 3 months and repeat.. this recipe got me through 15yrs of despatch riding, nowt rusted and a jet clean reveals a new bike, working on the bike gets you really dirty tho, mind you, the dirtier your hands get the more you feel you've achieved

hehe, all reluctant i assure you (usually a broken clutch cable or puncture), in the good old days i never cleaned a bike apart from mirrors, lights, radiator, clocks and 1cm around the edge of the numberplate... the rest was cleaned by nature, i had a revere600 for +2yrs and gave it a jet clean, apart from the scratches and dents it looked new (ish).. some of the crud underneath must of been over an inch thick
