Can anyone explain how these bits are assembled, the Haynes manual is not much help! (photo's below) The rider foot pegs do not return to the correct position and I look a right plank trying to return it to position at a junction with my foot when the bike is in first gear. Are these bits correct? How do you fit that return spring? Is this spring the correct one? Do you know where I can get a rubber for the slimline foot peg or do I have to purchase a new foot peg? I can only find original (fatter) foot peg rubbers for sale. All help would be much appreciated. Thanks jazz66 for the 'how to post pics' tutorial.

Do you see that little hole to the rear of the bracket on your second picture? One end of the spring locates in that hole to keep the spring from swivelling round….. If memory serves me, the bent end of the spring locates in the hole (the spring itself goes around the pin). You’ll need to check that you fit the right and left spring to the correct footpegs. It may be fiddly but its not a hard job (he says). If your not sure if it’s the correct spring, contact David Silvers and buy new ones. But try and fit the ones you’ve got first…. homepage.eircom.net/~hondabros/partsfiche/FOOT%20PEGS.htmlshop.wemoto.com/index.dyn?oid=25269&cat=CHASSISwww.davidsilverspares.co.uk/

So, judging from the fiche Buzzin has posted it's the straight end of the spring that locates into the hole, not the bent end....
