Hi matt Nice job M8... ;D Looks Sooo Much better than that Pukey green (Shudder...) I Know it is early days but do you have any decals/Ntv/Honda etc to go on it or are you going to leave it plain? Just ask as I intended to decal mine with honda/650 stickers, just have not had time to do it yet. be interested if you do, and how easy they are to apply (and Lacquer!) Keep up the good work, lets remove ALL the PUKY green colour NTV's from sight,.......... paint them any Fcuk-ing colour but GREEN!!... Enjoy & ride safe jaz..

Yep, nice job. You're getting there.
If I was doing a respray I don't think I'd go back to the original decals. I think the NTV decal on the tank is a bit naff. I'd go for a simple Honda flying wing thing- more classy. I might go for something on the sidepanels, like '650' or something, as I think the panels look a bit bare. All a matter of taste though.

Well done Matt - looking good. I reckon decals would further improve it but as for what - it's all a matter of taste -I like the NTV decals on my bike!!
Hope to get some pics up in the next couple of weeks - been a bit slow on that front but sorte my pin in the map yesterday

Looks good but you are not finished with the paint job yet!
Have you ever watched the Hot Rod shows on Discovery? They use a multistep procedure for painting those expensive looking rods:
When the paint has dried you apply soap water and wet sand with very fine 1200 paper until the coat is totally clean and free of any wrinkles.
THEN you polish the paint with an abrasive type of paint-cleaning wax to polish off all the small scratches from the wet paper.
THEN you give the paint a good rubbing with wax.
THEN you step back and watch you perfectly reflected mirror image in the paint job :-)

Oh, Whiting.
Just looking at the pics again, I see the previous owners have let the rust bug in a bit. You've probably already done it, but in your position I'd make sure I sprayed some anti-rust stuff, even WD40, inside the frame, stands, grabrails etc to keep the bug at bay.
