Hi dublin Don't sound right! If this was my car i'd seriously think that thermostat was stuck! I'm sure somenone else on here will have come across this at some point. If its got enough water/coolant in it, a stuck thermostat (if it's been lying around unused for any length of time) could be whats wrong. This can be as easy as popping thermostat into hot water to see if it opens. If it don't a new thermostat is required See this for an on line manual maybe www.geocities.com/gontv650. It might help Good luck jim

Also, if you go to the 'General Board' you'll find a 'Repair Manual For the NTV 650'.
Refer to Chapter 3 (3. PDF) and it will tell you all about the Cooling System. If the system is leaking, then after repairing you'll need check the coolant level in both the Radiator and the plastic reservoir bottle beneath the left hand side panel.
