I was having trouble finding a replacement radiator fan for my Revere this week and ended up getting a bit creative with a fan assembly from a 1999 CBR600. There are all sorts of Honda radiator fans on ebay and I thought a lot of them looked quite similar despite being for different bike models. In actual fact there are quite a few slight differences between models but this mod worked for me:
The CBR600 fan motor will fit the NTV fan frame with a little encouragement and the NTV fan will fit the CBR motor perfectly.
The two hurdles to this modification are:
1. The fan will sit a few mm's further forward than the original in the frame so a few spacer washers are needed to mount the fan to the radiator.
2. The electrical connection blocks are not the same so you need to chop off the CBR one and crimp on some different connectors (or use the old NTV one I guess).
I think CB500 radiator fans look pretty similar to the NTV type so they could even be a better fit than the CBR type.
