Has anyone tried or heard of heidenau tyres. My ntv needs a new front tyre and saw one advertised for £54. Just wondered if they're any good. Cheers David

Cheers David.....sorry for the delayed reply. Sounds like we can add the Heidenau tyres to the list... When you've had yours for long enough let us know about the wear rate and how they perform in the wet.....etc

Don't know how the Heidenau tyres will perform on the NTV. I put them on my 500cc MZ Saxon Tour (they were the original fitment) to replace a pair of worn out Bridgestones.
When new they were OK, not as nice as the Bridgestone when new, but at least they were cheap!
They are, of course made by the people who made Pneumant's in East Germany - these were aweful tyres, lethal in the wet, but since being taken over by Contenental seem to be made of sticky enough rubber.
The problem I had with them was as soon as the rear started to wear down the bike started to "white line" something aweful - it never did it with any other combination of tyres!
I hope you dont end up with this problem with the NTV
I just wait until M & P have a good deal on radials (usually around £120 - £130 for a pair of Michelin or Avons) Much better grip, life & handling than the crossplys.
Safe riding, Paul
