Does the fuel pump on my NTV have its own fuse? If so, anyone know where it is? I've a '97 NTV650. Thanks.

The fuel pump shares a fuse... On the NTV (P, S and T models) the fuses are under the right-hand side cover in a small plastic fuse box….. According to Haynes Manual (p. 9.3, Section 5): All fuses except the main fuse are located in the fusebox which is situated in between the handlebars on J, K and M models, and behind the right-hand side panel on P, S and T models …… To gain access to the fuses, on J, K and M models unscrew the two fusebox cover screws and remove the cover. On P, S and T models remove the right-hand side panel and unclip the fusebox lid. The fuses are labelled for easy identification. To access the main fuse, remove the rear cowl then unclip the wiring connector on the top of the starter relay…. See p. 9.14, Section 27 of Haynes for more info on fuel pump…. wbieniec.kis.p.lodz.pl/moto/ntv/manual/9.pdf(may be slow in opening).

Hi Shafty - no the fuel pump doesn't have its own fuse. (fed by the 10amp one if I remember correctly I guess you are having trouble with it not running, most likely fault is the relay or wiring - follow Jake's link to the Haynes manual & short out the connector as described there.
A point to note:- this relay is driven from ithe ignition module & only closes when the engine is actually turning over - just turning the ignition on will NOT produce any power at the fuel pump connector!!! (a safety feature. Hope this helps a little - let us know how you get on or if you need more help. Paul.

Many thanks for your replies. A friend of mine also suggested the relay/wiring might be to blame. I'll look into it and let you know how I got on. Thanks again.
