Hi all i am new here, but i have just aquired a ntv 600 1988 20,000 on clock only prob is the rev counter don't work has anyone got any ideas please WHEELER

Hi Wheeler…. Could be just corrosion...but, Haynes recommends checking the yellow/blue wire from the rev counter to its take-off point on the ignition control unit for continuity…. See page 9.9 (section 16) of the Haynes manual below: wbieniec.kis.p.lodz.pl/moto/ntv/manual/9.pdf

For these substitution is probably the easyest way to test - even the genuine factory manual doesn't really help! Check all the wires to the tacho head for continuity.
