JUST PUT MY NTV ON EBAY WITH THE AUCTION DUE TO START THURSDAY NIGHT.

For Sale SPARES OR REPAIR – Honda Revere NTV600-k
Here I have for sale my Honda Revere 600. I bought this bike July 2010 as a runner with the intention of cosmetically doing it up, servicing it and using it as my winter hack. Due to work and other commitments I didn’t have the time to do what I wanted to the bike.
What I did get time to do was :
New plugs
Oil and filter
New air filter
Coolant change
Replaced rear shaft drive oil
Had new fork seals put on professionally using Honda parts
This bike 22 years old nearly, it is not in brilliant condition as you would expect from a bike of this age. At some point in its life it has clearly been dropped, dent on the tank, scuff on the headlamp, weld joint on the headlamp is broken but held firmly with cable tie. Included in the sale is a replacement, from a breakers, headlamp mount.
Good Points :
Tax until end of April 2011
MOT expires 7th April 2011
New spark plugs fitted
Oil change including filter
Air filter replaced
Coolant change
Shaft drive oil changed
Good tyres with plenty of tread
Engine runs well with good gear box
New fork seals fitted October 2010 by Honda Dealer, receipt pictured
Bad Points
Flaking paint on the engine
Pillion foot pegs not attached. 4 included in sale but no fixings
Seat lock does not work / present but not fitted correctly
Rear body work panels held on with cable ties
Exhuast part which covers the joint area missing
Handle bar grips at some point have been sliced and put back on
The nut for the rear shaft drive oil, at some point this has been broken, rather than creating a seal with an O-ring, ptfe tape on the thread is what’s required.
Slight oil leak from rear rocker cover, new gasket included in sale
Exhaust does blow generally from around the joint area, will need attention for MOT
A threaded bar strategically placed replaces one of the exhaust studs which has previously been snapped, not aware of this till I bought it, I did the threaded bar repair job as a temporary fix – see picture
There are some non-standard nuts and bolts thoughtout the bike, I.e exhaust mount, rear indicator mounting bolts, althought not the originals the ones that are on do the job.
Since December I have not touched the bike. Went to the bike today to takes pictures and it started fine. However the throttle now sticks and doesn’t spring back shut. Whilst pushing it forward there is a binding of the front brake.
I am selling as SPARES / REPAIR – as work is needed to get it on the road.

2 footrest hangers both with pillion pegs attached
2 pillion foot pegs only – no fixings
1 extra rider foot peg only – no fixings

Nearly new Honda front brake pads with slight gouge in
Spare front brake calliper with pads fitted
Collection within 7 days of auction end.
£50 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end, rest by pay-pal or cash on collection.
Price at end of auction will be the price required, no haggling or negotiating when collected.
I have been as honest as I can be and any questions will be answered along with further pictures if required.
The bike is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
