Hi i bought a compleat front end off a cbr today twin disk set up, after i have stripped and cleaned them, i will be fitting them to my ntv will post photo,s when i have. outlaw

Hi, i have stripped the forks and rebuilt them and started swapping them over to the ntv standard bike wheel off and part striped cbr forks fitted front wheel fitted with twin disk,s front end fitted with cbr mudgard fitted will be getting a set of bros high bars so i can ajuet the preload on the front, better view of the twin disks i am useing the ntv drive on the cbr wheel as it all fits any q please ask, outlaw

went to london to pick up a deauville wheel i won on ebay look,s better that the cbr one, picking up a set of handlebars later in the week , outlaw

Thats a great project John and very well done. The Deauvillle wheel a necessary finishing touch. Mind you don't go over the handlebars now!

slow going with the bike at the moe as the caliphers that came with the forks were shot, have ordered a set of recon,s waiting for the to arrive, outlaw

I must admit though, those crash bars look a lot better than the Hepco and Becker ones..... I'm tempted to buy some.....

Hi Jake they are strong as when i had the forks off i had axle stands under the crash bars holding the bike up, john

the front pad are still bedding in when i took it up to 60 and pulled the front brake in it stopped in a straight line and the tank stopped my outher bit,s (rember not to pull the brake so hard next time ) feels better on the road run,s straight i took it up to about 60~70mph and took my hands off the bars for a short time smooth,
now the bad bits the cost
compleat front cbr 600 f2 front end ebay £80 + £35 petrol reading rebuilt front end seal,s/bush,s?fork oil new £114 recon caliphers (old ones shot) £75 twin braied lines ( ebay ) £35 deauville wheel £21 +£25 petrol london tyre changed to new wheel £15 sub total £340 +£60
total cost doing the work myself. £400 £ i think thats it and many hours out the garage would i do it again YES regards ( one skint ) outlaw ps, off to rob a bank for the next work on the bike

Very tidy job Outlaw, looks smart as a sixpence. I wonder if your insurance company will give you a discount for having improved brakes and handling? thanks for sharing with us all. Chris

Sorted the front brakes out yesterday as the lever always came back to far, bleed the guts out of it no joy, when talking to a deauville i noticed his master cylinder was bigger than mine,that was the problem, so i now have a deauville master cylinder on mine what a diffreance it made only a few mins to bleed it and does it stop now, outlaw
