This is probably only practical for someone in Ireland to buy to be honest. I'd prefer to sell to someone on here but not sure if there are any other Irish members. Yes, bike of the month is for sale, I finally bit the bullet and put a deposit on a 1997 VFR 750 last weekend. From reading through my threads you will see that I have sorted anything that needs sorting, and will be using the bike until Friday when I collect the VFR. www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/motorbikes/2248385I hope to remain a loyal follower of this board if you will still have me and will be strongly recommending it to whomever buys the bike. Bob (aka Prof) P.S. It is a 650 Revere, you read it right, it was originally a German import, so speedo is kmh.

But keep in touch and post as often as you like. Let us know how the new bike compares.

Hi Guys,
Sold my Revere finally, I told the new owner about this site so hopefully he will sign up.
Anyway to report back on the VFR, it is like the NTV's big brother. Build quality is excellent but the torque - it's unbelievable. Best way to describe the VFR is as a slightly bigger and more confortable NTV with a warp drive built in. You can potter about up to 5K RPM but above that the acceleration is breathtaking.
One downside is the chain drive, would have preferred shaft, but what can you do.
Prof.

More comfortable than the NTV, what about those sloping handlebars....? You and Outlaw are making me jealous. Have you seen his Triumph Speed Triple.....

Yes I saw that, never figured Outlaw for a speed demon .... nice bike BTW Outlaw! On the sloping bars, one of the previous owners fitted bar risers and a touring screen (and stainless steel headers, alarm, scorpion can and a scottoiler ... ) so it's not as "slopey" as a stock VFR, only a little bit. Still I would have kept the Reverend had I space for it ...
