Hello from Tasmania! Long time lurker and grateful user of the information hosted here - thank you. With your help I've given my 1990 Revere enough love for it to carry my 22000km around Australia last year. I found an old copy of Two Wheels in a derelict secondhand store. It happened to have a review on the Revere as we received it: 650cc with clip-on handlebars. Hope you enjoy the Australian perspective from TW mag. picasaweb.google.com/tim.prideaux/TWRevereReview?feat=directlink

Thanx reverendrider, great read. I'm in Victoria and doing a rebuild, posting some photo's next week. Cheers.

Welcome Reverendrider.... ;D Enjoyed reading the review. Had to laugh though at the guy in the jacket, tie and shirt. Looked like a city commuter.

Thanks Jake! I think the TW guys firmly pigeonholed the bike as a city hack for the person with slightly more money than sense. That's what the tongue-in-cheek photo says to me, anyway! They were stupidly expensive when launched and were pulled quickly, so they're not a common bike in these parts.
Can't wait to see what you've done with yours, rossell! ;D

Maybe I'll bring it down on the ferry in summer, after I've got it back on the road.
