I'd like to ask some advice from fellow NTV riders. I'm (slowly) re-building a 1989 Revere and have seen here that size is important! I'm around 6 foot, well closer to 5'10", mmmm, OK, I'm 5'7 and 3/4". The seat and pegs on the bike are as built but I've seen various sized posters commenting on alterations to suit their particular (human) frame. What do think? The seat is in fine condition, so should I wait until I ride it a while or do some of you guys have suggestions for pegs, gear shift, handle-bar risers or platinum edged, gold plated, diamond encrusted tachometer?

Hi Rossell, I'd take your own advice and ride the bike first. But...I’ve raised the handlebars on my NTV by 50mm and lowered the footpegs by the same amount. My knees tend to ache these days and over long distances I found that the footpegs were too high. The bike now feels a lot more comfortable..... There is a kit for lowering the footpegs but of course, this means adjusting the gear lever to match and also the brake pedal. The brake pedal on mine was cut, bent and welded back together by my local bike shop, but some people have simply fitted the brake pedal from the Deauville 650..... As Kev suggests, the easiest thing to do initially, is raise the seat and this has the effect of lowering the pegs. But even though I’ve lowered my pegs, I still use an inflatable ‘Air Hawk’ seat cushion.... Again, if you're having problems the easiest thing to do to begin with, is to find a way of raising the seat height. If you look at the link below, you can see how Kezaloz has had his seat repadded: growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=adventure&action=display&thread=1167Raising the bars (i.e. for NTV not Revere): growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=body&action=display&thread=971Lowering the pegs: growell.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1309&page=1

Thanx Kev and Jake. Your advice is much appreciated! I think that I'll bring it up to spec' and go from there. Thanx for the input.
