Any ideas how to deseize the brake pedal? , so far I've taken it off and sprayed it full of cleaner , its ok for a day or so then seizes again , the caliper isn't seized though its the pedal, which I've not been able to separate from the foot hanger, should I just replace the whole thing ?, since it seems a flawed design compared to the brake pedal on me CBR and easily traps dirt..
So mu questions are how to deseize it (it won't come apart btw 14 years or road use have made the hinge push rod solid) or my other idea is to fit the rear sets from another bike ie a CBR600 so I don't have such problems again., but this has problem of losing the pillion pegs.
When I say seized I mean you can still brake with it but you have to put your foot under the pedal to lift it back up again else it sticks and the bike drags its brake.
any thoughts?
# Thanks

Just looked at my Revere and it has a spring to pull the pedal back up when you take your foot off.
Has your spring fallen off?
Sorry if this does not help.
I have a Haynes manual if you would like me to check anything else.

The springs are both there , and the provide some tension but it really does seize down when you press it down... Looking at me own haynes it says it should pull out when you've taken the circlip out and the assembly which goes into the piston should also unscrew its a big blob of rust and road crud.... Looks like a £30 replacement then never mind... ta anyhow

take it off with the rearset and try some heat and a hammer.. tapping it through with a drift or old bolt.. these setups are ok till one of the dust seals go, then all the road crud and rust gets in there
