hi everyone. just got an ntv600j. in process of doing it up a bit. pops put me onto this site when i brought a few bits from him. hope someone can help. previous owner of bike messed about with wiring. tried to get ignition from another honda to work on it. i took that off and binned it. i been and fetched an ignition switch off a guy stripping a ntv600k. but it has no yellow/ black wire and insted of a red wire and a red/black wire it has 2 red wires! have i been stitched up with a dodgy switch or is ita slight manufacturer alterationthat not listed anywhere. the haynes manual really not helping on this one
thanks

If no one on the forum suggests a solution then Wemoto may be able to help if they have one in stock. You can ask them to do a comparison without the obligation to buy. You could speak to both the sales department and the workshop. Like I say, they’re usually pretty helpful. www.wemoto.com/contact/index.php3

Plumber
Did you get it sorted in the end? There are some wiring differences between early and late 600s ignition switches, as detailed in the Haynes manual. Unfortunately the manual's at home and I'm not, but ISTR the J and K models were the same and the M model modified (but don't quote me on that).
I've got an NTV600K model at home, will check the correct wiring and let you know if you still need the info.
