Hi All, does anybody out there know if the Deauville engine will fit in to a 94 NTV 650 as a straight swap, please. Sheekbiker ( Mick ).

The NT650V engine is near enough the same. The NT700V will not fit or at least not easy anyhow. The NT650V unit is not made in Japan but for the best part is the same. I cant be sure as to the output drive coupling at gearbox as the NT650V has a double sided swing arm. The output drive should swap from one to the other if needed. Most of the internals are the same. I checked quite a few of the parts out when i worked to Honda. All the control cables will fit. The carbs will fit if you dont get them along with thw engine. The clutch cable will fit. The ignition was the same and theres a fair chance the wires from the CP sensors will be the same lenth. The wires from the bottom charging coils are a doddle anyhow. Provided you have the ability to swap various bits from one to the other it should go in. The engine block, heads caseings etc are the same. I would try it and expect success.

as a matter of interest.. the Dullville has extra oil pressure breathers on yop of the rocker covers, you will need whatever it fit's to.. some kinda pump i see.. i got a low milage dully engine for spares (still complete) ... *goes and looks* the engine mounts and final drive all look the same comparing to a ntv 650 lump (side by side)
