Is anybody using the Iridium NGK spark plugs (DPR8EIX-9)?
If so, do you notice any improvements?
I have always used the DPR8EA-9 and have never had any problems with them. Will the Iridium plugs be even better?
Thanks

I’ve used NGK Iridiums in the past and they are better than standard NGK’s. Sharper throttle response and they last longer… But nowdays I used standard SplitFire plugs from Bell Rock Racing. They’re as good as the Iridums but cheaper at around £20 for four plugs. Make the engine feel smoother at speed that the NGK iridiums. Unfortunately SplitFire have stopped making them with the patented ‘V’ design for the side electrode. But Bell Rock Racing have still got plenty of the old design in stock. Type SF416C for the NTV. www.bellrockracing.co.uk/homepage.htmlwww.bellrockracing.co.uk/sparkplugs.htmlwww.bellrockracing.co.uk/contact.html

If you’re going to try them Eric I’d suggest you contact Bell Rock Racing first. The last set of four I bought only cost me £20 including P&P and vat. I phoned them up beforehand to check the price then just sent them a postal order……
Two day’s later they came through the letter box.

I agree with everything Jake says . The Splitfires are great, particularly at speed, much smoother. I never thought plugs would make such a difference! I got mine from Bell Rock too - next day delivery, and I think I payed by PayPal. Paul (1997 NTV650V)
