I overtightened my first screw today. ;-)
While exchanging rear brake pads I've decided to unmount the entire caliper, clean it, push the piston as far out as possible, clean it and spray it with brake piston grease. Everything worked fine, until I mounted the caliper back on. One of the mounting bolts wasn't an original one (it had a larger head, requiring a 13 mm socket instead of a 12 mm one, and looked different), and when I was tightening it with my torque wrench set to 20 Nm it snapped. Luckily, I felt it snap and stopped right there, and I was able to get it out easily, but I need a new bolt right away, and preferably one that won't snap like the first one did.
So, could somebody tell me what are the exact specs of the original rear mounting bolt for the rear caliper? Is it identical to the front mounting bolt?
Ah, the joys of learning to wrench bikes. :-)
