hi peeps new to the site so a quick hello from me I'm in a village near Leicester I'm building a trike with a ntv600 engine now the problem I'm having is i cant get the engine to start i don't have the bike i just bought the engine and have since bought all the bits i need to get it started. IE: carbs ,coils , reg, cdi, new plugs I'm having trouble getting the engine to fire there appears to be a very faint spark at the plugs. is there anyway of by passing the side stand switch wire from the cdi. and also the clutch cut out wire from the Cdi? any help would be gratefully received its been doing my head in for a week now lol thanks in advance mick aka mouse

You've a wiring diagram, yes? I'd say if it's sparking at all then the cutout switches are all OK... You're using the right double-ended coils, all earths are good, and you haven't got the coils swapped front-rear?

the coils have to be wired to a live (+) and swtiched through a live (+) and the colour of the wire for this live feed is black and white not red so once the coils were wired live they worked
