Hi.
A god thing to do when bike has been in the shed for some time is to put in fresh petrol. In your case also the fuel relay. With the ignition of short the black/blue and black wire terminals with a jumper wire. Disconnect the fuel tube at the T-joint near the carburettors. Now turn ignition switch on and let fuel flow into a graduated can for 5 secs. Multiply fuel with 12 to get flow capacity/min. should be 650 Cm3/min

Hi
What you do is that you disconnect the fuel relay to se if pump/relay is working.
A nother way is losen fuel hose at fuel tap to and start bike, you will then notice how te pump tries to pump fuel...

Almost any pump from a carb machine will do provided it will fit in and the pipes for inlet outlet are the correct size to suit the pipes. If the pump is from a breakers and is from a differant type of bike check if the wireing connections/plugs are the same, if not try and get the connection from the breaker bike. The jumper wires should have made it go but just in case there is a problem in the wiring try putting 12v from the battery straight to it. BE CAREFUL with wires and sparks while messing around with petrol. Also mine went without the pump provide there was plenty of fuel in the tank. It would only do about 100 mls or so but hew its better than walking. Honda

After mine killed the FP relay twice for no apparent reason, I've just left the jumper in place; works fine. Gotta bear in mind that it won't shut off if the engine dies or the bike is dropped, tho.

Havnt a clue where you begin to look as I am well out of your area. I would try some of the local breakers if there are any near by you. (we havnt a decent breaker whatsoever) If not look ebay and ask a question to some of those breaking a revere or ntv. I'm not sure if any of the other honda models share the same pump and cannot check for you as I am off work on hol's at present but the one from the xrv750 is not reliable and is usually replaced with one from an ntv cause its better. Something I must do sometime is to put a few of the current genuine part numbers along with recomended retail prices for some of the consumables as I have read a few posts complaining about genuine prices. Bear in mind that the retails are recomended and that some retailers may pump their counter prices up. Genuine will maybe be a it more expensive but I am content to use the proper pads, filters etc. I do like the proper pads as they brake better and are much thicker for the single disc. They are not the same as cbr600 nor the transalp although these will fit they will not give the same life nor nice feel brakes. Cheers Honda If there is a local breaker near you take your pump in hand and ask if they have anything remotely like it, if my memory serves me well both pipes go on at the same end like most and they are 10mm od. I think some of the yamaha or kawasaki pumps will fit with a little mod or two. Anything will do as long as its from a carb bike and you can get in fuel circuit the correct way around
