Does anyone know the standard setting for the rear shock of an NTV600?
I altered them last year (from whatever they were set to so I could fit pillion and too much luggage), but since I haven't been riding for 6 months I have no idea how I altered them, other than that I firmed it up....
Now the rear end is a bit jumpy, so I want to eliminate the rear shock as the cause so I need to put it to standard.

Hi Fenlander, Just found a previous thread on this which makes a few suggestions, so check it out when you've got a moment... growell.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=body&action=display&thread=826'Page 13 of the Owners Manual gives some useful information which is more detailed than the Haynes manual (surprise, surprise).'www.honda.de/fahrerhandbuecher/NTV650_37MZ6620.pdf'I did mine by trial and error by adjusting the Spring Preload first, then Damping to match. I did this by taking the bike on the road on a Sunday morning, riding the bike around, and then adjusting the settings till I found those I liked….' I know the rear suspension on the Revere 600 is different from the NTV 650 because the NTV has the option to adjust damping as well as preload. But I still think the trial and error method is best because it makes allowance for the weight of the rider….(i.e. some of us are fatter than others…..)
