Hope you aren't tempting fate Rusty- I remember most of those Mexicos ended up in ditches or wrapped around trees, in the hands of would-be rally drivers. Good colour though- matches the bike well. The Flying Wings can be had through E-bay and accessory stores quite easily. (Pops has got some on his project bike).

myworld.ebay.co.uk/wichudee2006, this is the guy supplied the decals, all of 3.98 buy it now, including postage. I believe he will make up what ever you want but look at his e-bay shop to see what he has first. That was the trouble with putting a decent engine in a Escort, everyone thought they could do the RAC rally, and found out what happens when you do not have a factory to support you with new engines, g-boxes, bodies and all of the other bits. I don't intend going off road on the bike, got the Land Rover Discovery for that, car + mud= fun bike+road=fun so I win either way. very quick response . Rusty

The old girl in post-MOT glory. Pre-op picture this - winter project will include courier-style wraparound top-box (to be collected), and a fairing (almost in the bag I think, from a nice chap in Surrey, and just a tenner!!) - all white, with Trojan Records detailing, and hopefully a single seat. Or not (you know how these things are...) Buffs (shrunken pic is hiding a multitude of sins)

My new mirrors, with indicators By buzzin at 2008-01-05 And again. Good thing: now I can actually see behind me. Bad thing: Bike doesn't fit in the shed without folding the mirrors in anymore (whoops) (I'll sort this out soon) The indicators don't work yet, haven't connected them yet....no time I'll see if I can do that tomorrow, but I doubt if I have the materials for it. Ow well....this works for now Ow, I need to keep the small indicators on the headlight for legal reasons, seems in Germany it's needed. So as I want to keep my options open for holidays....I'll keep them

Hi Buzzin indicator mirrors, looking good, very visible, so no doubt what your intentions are when you're on the road. I'd noticed the mini indicators and then your explanation - red tape, where would we be without it!
Your bike is looking smart

Hi buzzin,
looks good indeed!
No it's not. As long as the mirrors have an "E....." sign on they're OK in germany. But there's another thing: what is fitted on the bike must work! So you have install the indicators (and replace the old ones).

I just read the documents again...I read it wrong (on louis.de) I read too fast, and got some rules confused. As it seems, the current small indicators wouldn't pass the rules in Germany and the mirror ones would Well, officially we have the same rule...if fitted they should work, but not a cop is going to stop me for that.... I will try to get them working this weekend.... I was thinking that I might put in a small electronic circuit, making the mirror and the small indicator blink one after the other. So one of them is always on when indicating (roadside help cars here have that) Would be cool, but I will need to read up on my electronics to do that source: (the small indicators are not 100mm from the front light...)

Pops' fairing is a Powerbronze Endurance (I also have one, but not nicely colour-matched like his)! Decent protection for my all-year huge mileage but not a 'barn door' job.
