Hi RJ bikes looking good and it sounds like you're pleased with the performance and proud of your Aunty.
Looks like a lick of paint (and subsequent decal) on the side panel and some paint on the clutch casing would make a difference, but it's only appearance and for 90k - marvellous - there's many don't make it that far
Thought the background looked like an area near Ash Ranges; guess you're familiar with those!

Cheers McF, yes well pleased thanks. she goes very well and makes me smile every day. With a new battery yesterday, even more today as had to bump start her twice yesterday. Not sure what to do about the panels, I have fixed fine cracks with melted pen at the rear of the panels but the back panel is broken clean off at the left hand bolt fixing. Drilled hole and cable tie up under the seat has been holding the panel in place for a couple of years. I have seen some panels on ebay but they all seem to cost lots, and I can't see the panels when I am sat on her ;D. I like the full faring ilegalalien has on his bike the orange one, so I may save for one of those if she gets through the next mot, which I suspect she will. The photo is taken just north of burley in the new forest near the services. (lunchtime fun ride) Thanks again

Hi Chugger and welcome to the gang Bike is looking nice and if that is the original paintwork, has come out a nicer looking shade than normal. I'm not sure that choice is to everyone's taste, but they go just as good as any other colour!
Have you had it customised and the dent in the tank removed - I thought NTVs were made with at least one in the tank!

That fairing in illegalalien's pic is, I believe, a Powerbronze Endurance with optional taller touring screen (like mine) but using standard headlight and indicators (not like mine). Bought mine secondhand with neat twin headlight and fitted indicators options. Fairing gives pretty decent weather protection without the bulk of some of the larger 'full touring' fairings e.g. Voyager.
I notice it's still using handlebar mirrors, possibly on risers. This is because the original fairing mirrors are totally useless unless you just want to look at your forearms. I bought a pair of CBR600 pattern mirrors which fit the mountings and reach a couple of cm further out, still not really enough but at least they're useable. At some point I'll make some spacers to move them out a bit more and I should then get a decent view of what's following me!

I thought the mirrors issue was just me. Risers sounds interesting assume thats just tubes and longer bolts?
Do you think it's worth looking out for second hand CBR 600 mirrors or do you have any other ideas?
I am currently looking at a Skidmarks fairing, but for considerably more than Buzzin mentioned he paid for his ;-)
Cheers Roger

The CBR mirrors are fairing mounted, as I was mounting them on the Powerbronze to replace the original fairing mirrors. I'd sort a fairing first, and then think about mirrors. I was able to use my handlebar mirrors even with the fairing fitted, as a temporary measure. It didn't look great but at least I could see a bit of what was behind me. You may find that with extenders like the ones pictured above, your existing mirrors will not only be more effective but may also clear your fairing screen....

Thanks. Interesting headlamp on the revere. The mirrors are still an issue, but I have done a few more miles now since passing my test last Oct, and don't find it such an issue.
That said if I see some extenders I will get a pair.
My next priority is my flapping indicators, but as I said on another thread, she still makes me smile so why change what works.
I thought summer was coming with time to work on her. Then I woke up to a blizzard!
Thanks again Roger

Hi Buzzin
Looks pretty fly.
What do you think they did, rear end from a scrapped hornet perhaps?
